Footwork Drills
Straightforward, keep in mind that footwork drills are important in almost every sport and lacrosse is no exception if you want to be the unbreakable defense wall.
Start by running backward than move to crossover running the sideways in both directions (Carioca Drill) and Try to stick to the length of the field.
Defensive Shadow Drill
Despite the scary name, this drill is actually fun and involves some company.
Start by forming two lines of players facing each other where one line is offensive and the other is basically defending by shadowing the movement of the offensive side.
Set a timer to 10-15 seconds and try to take a break of 30 seconds between each practice.
Wave Drill
A sketchy name for a drill but very simple and also challenging.
All you need is a partner or a group if possible. The player should rapidly react to the direction pointed by the coach by taking a step back movement while maintaining a defensive behavior and keeping balance.
The Square Drill
As the name of the drill suggests, you will need with a square shape (You can either use cones or even chalk will do). Run clockwise and counterclockwise ( The direction should be random and pointed by a coach).
Set a timer for each practice and taking breaks are preferable.
